Maree's introduction class is aimed at beginners or those who have dabbled and need some support. This session covers everything you need to get started and continue with confidence. Fully hands on with comprehensive notes, ongoing support and advice.


What we cover:

  • Understanding what Sourdough is and the benefits it has over commercially yeasted breads.

  • Making a dough from scratch that is worked on and taken home to bake

  • Shaping, proving and baking dough that has been fermenting before the session so you can see the complete process. This is baked in class so you take home your own baked loaf.

  • Fitting baking in with everyday life

  • Getting professional results using from your home oven

  • Understanding sourdough starter cultures and keeping them viable

  • Participants are given some of Maree's 35+yo starter  to take home.

  • Small class size, 6 spots open for bookings and 2 reserved  spots for holders of gift vouchers so they 

    don't have to queue!

  • Morning tea on arrival, light lunch and refreshments included.
